2,525 people are still missing…Tsunami took me to Australia

Updated: Jul 29, 2021

March 11, 2021, marked the 10th anniversary of the Tohoku (North-Eastern regions of Japan) earthquake and tsunami. The magnitude 9.0 quake, the most powerful ever recorded in Japan, hit off the Pacific coast of Japan’s Tohoku region at 14:46 JST, which triggered a tsunami that washed away entire communities and took over 15,900 lives, 2,525 people are still missing.

I was in Tokyo back then, the house shook severely so that we could hardly stand on our feet.

After that we evacuated to a park, and then to a higher area in case of a tsunami as we lived in the lower area close to a river.

My deepest sympathy for people who lost their precious life and also for those who lost their loved ones...

At one of my Facebook LIVE concerts, I mentioned that I had my first turning point when I was 15 years old. (When I was taken to hospital because of a massive bleeding.)

There are several turning points in my life, but definitely this earthquake has become one of them, which made me think of a possibility of moving and living overseas.

I loved Tokyo very much…for me it is still one of the most exciting cities in the world.

I just had a dream to explore the world and discover different cultures since I was a child.

It takes a lot of energy to make dreams come true, so I almost forgot the dream or was pretending that the dream was not there. As you get older, you learn how to give up your dreams.

But the earthquake in 2011 has made an impact on my life so that I felt the need to change my life and at least to “try” what I could do for my dreams and goals.

Now I’m so glad that I made up my mind back then.

I admire those who stay at one place, which cultivates other qualities inside you.

I took a path travelling the world…that was my journey and I’m very happy with it.

I really hope that I can travel to many places in the world and play live music for all of you when the situation improves.

That would be my biggest dream!!

Until then, it is my pleasure to keep playing music for you at Facebook live concerts (which is the ONLY place where I can play live music at the moment)

Thank you so much for reading.

Have a great day! Pico

I remember that day. While I watched the devastation on the News from back here in the USA, I could hardly breath just trying to imagine what was happening. Prayers for Life, recovery, and strength, then and now. Thank You Pico for your Music.

Hi Robert. Thank you so much for the comment. Japan is a great place to live, but just too many earthquakes....I cannot believe it’s already been 10 years. I’m so blessed to be alive in this moment.

Enjoy the rest of your beautiful day🙏✨💕
